When most baseball fans think of Hunter Pence they probably think of the absurd signs that fans of the opposing team would make whenever Pence’s Giants were in town. However, aside from all the hilarious signs that accused him of still using MySpace and not being able to parallel park, the Fort Worth, Texas native has put together a pretty impressive MLB career over the past 12 years.

In 6,082 at-bats over the course of 1,607 games, Pence hit 224 home runs and drove in 877 runs to go along with 114 stolen bases, a .280 batting average and a .334 OBP, but now he finds himself on the open market for the first time in his career. Since he’s set to turn 36 early next year, Pence is spending his offseason with the Toros del Este of the Dominican Winter League to show he’s still got it and on Tuesday night he proved he’s still able to be a leader in the clubhouse in a fantastic way.

Pence has only been a member of the Toros del Este for a few games, but it looks like he’s fitting in nicely with his Dominican Winter League club and they’re welcoming him with open arms.

It might only be the Dominican Winter League but Pence is off to an impressive start as he’s hitting .455 with a 1.000 OPS through his first three games.
