It’s nearly impossible to find someone in the hockey world who doesn’t like Phil Kessel.
After all, the 30-year-old is just an ordinary nice guy who tries hard and loves the game, so it’s hard to say something bad about the guy.
The Pittsburgh Penguins’ Twitter account recently shared a photo from their recent trip to the Hockey Hall of Fame and noticed something funny about the description attached to Phil Kessel’s Team USA jersey from the 2008 IIHF World Championship.
Kessel’s No. 8 jersey from the tournament is located in the Hockey Hall of Fame’s Resource Centre, but it doesn’t actually mention Phil’s name in the description. Instead, they refer to him as Amanda Kessel’s brother.
Although the tournament was a disappointing one for the Americans, who failed to finish in the top four, the two-time Stanley Cup champion had a pretty good tournament as he scored six goals in seven games and added four assists for 10 points.
However, it doesn’t seem to matter to the Hockey Hall of Fame, who poked some fun at Phil with their caption.
