The Washington Capitals are showing all sorts of ambition after capturing their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
Players have been spotted partying with fans, soaking in a Nationals game, and even swimming in the streets. Literally.
One of the greatest demonstrations of courage, however, came from their Twitter team, who showed some guts when they publically asked the Stanley Cup’s Twitter account to give them a follow back online. After posting to their page, the Cup’s team had the perfect response.
The latter kept to their word and made the Capitals one of the four accounts they follow. The others include its keeper Philip Pritchard, Mike Bolt, and the NHL’s.
The Cups’ team released all sorts of tweets after the final horn sounded in Game 5. Here’s a look at some of their best:

As the summer continues, we’re sure the trophy will make a point of documenting the rest of its summer with Capitals players. It already seems to be having a blast with Ovi.
