The greenest day of the year is finally here.
Today, people will be drinking green beer, eating green cake, and wear outfits that would mistake them for the dude on the Lucky Charms box on a regular day. While some will go overboard, Adidas released a series of beautiful green jerseys for teams to show off in honour of the occasion. The jerseys were worn strictly for warmup, but are awesome nonetheless.
The league also released St. Patrick’s Day themed hats, while the Los Angeles Kings gave forward Tanner Pearson his own green bobble head. The green top-hat was really a brilliant addition.
Teams in the past have have gone the extra mile and worn their green jerseys past warmups. Last year, the Toronto Maple Leafs rocked their classic ‘Pats jerseys' that took the league by storm.
Here's a look at Mat' donning one for old time's sake.
The NHL abandoned its third jersey for the 2017-18 season, so it’s nice to see the players spice it up and wear something new.
Happy St. Paddy’s Day everybody!
