Montreal has a new man in town.
The city received another big-name sports star after the Hamilton Tiger-Cats sent Johnny Manziel to the Montreal Alouettes in a package deal. With quarterback Drew Willy sidelined, the vacant QB spot is up for the taking, and could be filled by the former Heisman winner in the near future. But despite the move, hockey fans still managed to make this about the Canadiens. After news came out about the trade, social media blew up with jokes involving the Habs.
The guy will be under centre. Not playing it! But hey, at least he looks pretty fly in a Habs sweater.
Leave it to hockey fans to make something completely unrelated to hockey about the NHL. But with Manziel in town, you’ve got to think Montreal will try to get the guy on skates at least once throughout the rest of his contract.
