The Vegas Golden Knights added another chapter to their historic inaugural season on Tuesday night as they pulled off the first sweep in franchise history by knocking out the Los Angeles Kings in four games.
While not many people expected much out of the Golden Knights this season, they quickly silenced the critics by capturing their division and added to their storybook season by winning their first-ever playoff series. Although not many fans had the team’s back when they first entered the league, they received a lot of support online following their sweep.
Not only did the Golden Knights sweep the Kings, but they held them to just three goals in four games.
The Golden Knights will have some extra time off now after being the first team to advance this season and they’ll take on the winner of the San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks series in the second round.
