Regardless of your opinion on fighting in hockey, right now it's in the game and until something changes, fights will continue to occur.
That said, it's pretty rare to see goalies drop the gloves, especially now with less fights occurring. This past weekend, though, we got a goalie fight in the AHL between two former teammates.
Pheonix Copley and Jordan Binnington were teammates when they played for the Chicago Wolves in 2015-16 and 2016-17. This time around, though, they were opponents, but they did show each other a tremendous amount of sportsmanship after the fight concluded.
The Hershey Bears and Providence Bruins combined for 89 penalty minutes in the game and the Bruins were able to score four goals on Copley en route to a 6-2 win.
