The Houston Astros’ lineup is full of players who know a thing or two about hitting home runs. One of those players is rightfielder George Springer, who’s hit 20 or more home runs in four of his five seasons and is on pace to set a new career high this year.
Springer entered Thursday night’s tilt against the Cleveland Indians second on the team in home runs (7) and tied for the team lead in RBI (20). In his second at-bat of the night, the 29-year-old took over the team lead in RBI with a monstrous home run that left the stadium.
The home run didn’t just leave the field in a hurry, it left the entire stadium in a hurry.
Springer hit 27 home runs and 71 RBI in 140 games last season and is already up to eight home runs and 21 RBI through 25 games.
