It’s no secret that eSports and gaming communities are growing more rapidly than a dandelion in the sunshine. Gaming events have recently sold out venues such as the Air Canada Centre, Madison Square Garden, and there was even one hosted at Wembley Stadium. Where there are eyeballs watching, there is money being made.
People sometimes claim that athletes make too much money, with salaries seeming to increase at a borderline drastic rate every few years, but it comes with lots of risks as well. Injuries can derail a career in an instant, or even just a few off years against some of the top opposing talent can leave you on the outside looking in of the sports world.
Those same people would probably be even more surprised to hear that Tyler Blevins, more commonly known as Ninja, makes over $500,000 every year… wait, scratch that… every month!
That’s right, the Fortnite guru makes more than half a million every 30 days or so just from live-streaming his Fortnite games. He became even more popular when we took to Twitch to live stream with rap icon Drake, Pittsburgh Steelers’ young phenome JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Travis Scott.
You can bet that the squading up of Drake and Ninja reaped benefits for both parties, but Ninja undoubtedly made a ton of followers during the session. That’s straight money in the bank for Ninja, just look how rapid it was…

It's not the only way Drake has been impacting the gaming world recently...
