Alex Galchenyuk was a major part of the Toronto Maple Leafs crucial Game 4 victory on Tuesday, downing the Montreal Canadiens 4-0 to take a 3-1 series lead. He’s somewhat of an unlikely hero, considering he’s been on contract with SEVEN different teams in the span of three years.

One of those, and most significantly, is the Montreal Canaidens. When he managed to record two beautiful primary assists and cap it all off with an empty netter, you can bet it felt pretty good for the former 3rd overall pick.

The three-point night confirmed that the Leafs were right to leave him in the lineup, as he was one of the players considered to be on the bubble of scratches once the Leafs became fully healthy.

Following the game, Galchenyuk was asked about his former team. Specifically, he was asked if he had any lasting friendships over there.

Woof, that’s an icy answer if we’ve ever heard one. That’s playoff hockey for you.

For what it's worth, here are the list of former Galchenyuk Habs teammates that have played in this series so far: Phillip Danault, Paul Byron, Brendan Gallagher, Carey Price. Shea Weber, Artturi Lehkonen, and Jeff Petry. Jonathan Drouin was on the Habs with Galchenyuk as well, but he is on an indefinite leave of absence due to personal reasons.

Game 5 goes Thursday as Galchenyuk and the Leafs attempt to finish off the Habs.
