When you think of hockey rivalries, Colorado and Minnesota's rivalry isn't one that initially comes to mind, but they've got a fun rivalry going.
The two teams squared off in the playoffs back in the 2013-14 season, and since then, even though the Avalanche haven't been competitive, their games against the Wild are always intense.
This season, Colorado has turned things around and they've dominated the season series against Minnesota, outscoring them 21-6 in four games (3-0-1 record). The Avs' latest win against the Wild came Tuesday night and the game was chippy and intense from start to finish to say the least.
We're no lip-reading experts, but "What have you won?" and "Go back on waivers you (expletive) plug" seem to be the consensus choices for what Gabriel Landeskog said to Nate Proser in the box.
Either way, you can tell from that clip alone that these two teams don't like one another and it's unfortunate that was their last meeting of the season because Colorado is just three points behind the Wild for third in the Central.
If both teams can stay in the Central Division's portion of the bracket, though, and win their first series, we could be in for an exciting second round series.
