As if four All-Stars weren’t enough, the Golden State Warriors have signed DeMarcus Cousins, and now their starting lineup is a Team USA lineup. Yeah, uh... everyone has lost their minds.
Believe it or not, this was all foreshadowed four years ago, at, of course, a Team USA camp. Folks, we have confirmed video of DeMarcus Cousins calling himself a Splash Brother.
He missed, but, like, it doesn’t seem like anyone is laughing now.
Sure, that video was all in jest, and nobody could have predicted the chain of events that would lead to Boogie signing for less than a quarter of what Serge Ibaka makes. There was the ruptured Achilles tendon last season, which few players historically have ever recovered from. Maybe that was the concern that led every other team in the league to play itself into this outcome.
Man. You thought the Warriors were tough enough with JaVale McGee or Zaza Pachulia at center? Now they have a human bulldozer in there who also happens to shoot threes. We’re sweating.
