Slap Shot was released more than 40 years ago, but the Hanson Brothers are still as popular as theyโve ever been within the hockey community.
Last week, the Vegas Golden Knightsโ ECHL affiliate, the Fort Wayne Komets, hosted an Old Time Hockey Night when they took on the Indy Fuel which meant it was only right to have the trio in attendance for the action.
The Komets switched things up from their usual black and orange and rocked special blue and yellow Charlestown Chiefs themed jerseys for the night.
Through the Komets and the Hanson Brothersโ efforts on the special night, the team was able to help raise more than $11,000 towards the Boys & Girls Club of Fort Wayne and the Blue Bucket Brigade.
Fans got to go home with some photos and autographs and it was all for a great cause.
