Former Leaf Tyler Bozak had a fantastic quote about the media attention he's getting in St. Louis

On Saturday night, former Leaf Tyler Bozak who spent the first 9 seasons of his career with Toronto, will make his return and face his former team for the first time.

Bozak signed with the Blues in the offseason and while St. Louis is a very different hockey market than Toronto in terms of popularity, it's still an incredibly passionate city to play in.

On Thursday, Bozak was asked by TSN's Kristen Shilton about how he's adjusting to life as a Blue and Bozak provided a wonderful quote about the media attention he's getting in St. Louis.

Caught up with Tyler Bozak after Blues’ practice this afternoon. He’s adjusting nicely to life in St. Louis, getting used to a lot less media attention: “I scored a couple goals in preseason and they said ‘you have media to do.’ It was two reporters.”

Unless you live in Toronto and have played in Toronto, you can't truly understand how popular the Leafs are and how much media attention they get because of that popularity (along with the fact that they're an Original 6 team in one of the largest hockey markets).

Bozak doesn't have to deal with all of that attention from the media in St. Louis, but he will in the coming days because it's his first time back in Toronto since signing with the Blues.

Bozak knew Toronto was in on John Tavares so doesn't sound like he ever expected to be back. Said he'd been in Toronto a long time and loved his time, but thought a change of scenery would do him good too. Really believes St. Louis is a great fit for his skill set.
