Patrik Laine is quickly becoming one of the most liked hockey players in the NHL.
From his ridiculously accurate and deadly wrist shot, to ruthlessly roasting those that favour Xbox over PlayStation, and growing an Amish-like beard, the Finnish sniper has edged his name amongst the best pure goal scorers in the game.
His quirky, funny and honest personality is what makes him so likeable, as Laine has shown on countless occasions that he’s not afraid of going against the mundane, cliché-filled answers that have become the norm for hockey players.
As popular as Laine has become in North America, he’s already earned legendary status back home in his homeland of Finland. Over the next few years, we’re going to see massive portraits and art work of the superstar as he continues to develop and tear apart the NHL. Finnish artist Akkee Saari has jumped ahead of the curve, and put together a fantastic sketch of Laine that took him 29 hours to complete.
