We all know that the Carolina Hurricanes are the biggest bunch of jerks in the NHL and it turns out the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. The Canes’ Mentors Trip kicked off in Florida on Thursday night and the fathers enjoyed their victory over the Panthers just as much as their kids did, perhaps even more.
After the Hurricanes scored two unanswered goals in the third period to steal a win over the Panthers, the Mentors celebrated the same way their kids do on home ice and busted out their own Storm Surge after the victory.
The win was a big one for the Hurricanes as they leap frogged the Columbus Blue Jackets for the second and final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference, and the jerks and their mentors were all smiles after the big road win.
By the way, the Storm Surge has really caught on among Hurricanes fans as they bust out their own celebration after each win.
The Canes will wrap up their mini road trip in Dallas on Saturday night.
