There are few traditions in hockey more enjoyable to watch and be apart of than the Teddy Bear Toss.

For those unfamiliar with the tradition, though, we've got you covered.  As we get closer to Christmas, more and more Teddy Bear Toss games are held by teams as the teddy bears are donated.

On Friday night, the Grand Rapids Griffins held their annual Teddy Bear Toss game and in the second period after Turner Elson scored for the Griffins, the teddy bears flew onto the ice.

According to the Griffins, a record number of bears were thrown onto the ice and they'll all be donated to Hug A Bear in Kent County.

We get so much joy from watching Teddy Bear Tosses at games and we can't wait to see more as we get into December and closer to the holidays.
