Brad Marchand will always be public enemy number one in any city he plays in outside of Boston. In the first round of the playoffs, he heard the boos from Leafs fans every single time he touched the puck.
Now, Tampa Bay fans are doing the same thing, but Marchand feeds off of the boos and it's obvious watching him play that the hate doesn't bother him.
That said, his actions on the ice always seem to bother fans, whether it be licking Leo Komarov or delivering a questionable hit. Monday night, Marchand was at the centre of another odd incident as fans called him out for this:
Did Marchand bite the linesman? You can make the call on that, but at the end of the day, he's being talked about on Tuesday for doing that and for the non-call that went against him when he had a chance to tie the game.
Inconsistency has been a big problem all season long, whether it be with reviews or calls during a game. As Marchand said, it was a tough one, but they had other chances.
On the bright side, the Bruins took Game 1 and have a chance to take the series lead at home Wednesday night.
