The Edmonton Elks honoured Joey Moss’ legacy last week by introducing the Joey Moss Award at training camp and it turns out they weren’t done there when it comes to honouring Moss.

As the team hit the field for the first time this season on Saturday night, fans and viewers might have noticed a special decal on the back of the Elks players’ helmets, which are placed there in honour of Joey.

As for the Joey Moss Award that was introduced last week, it’s something the team will award to a player who has persevered through adversity and embodies Joey’s positivity at the end of training camp each season, and the first-ever Joey Moss Award went to Jonathan Rose.
