We're literally days away from September and although the 2018/19 NHL season doesn't start until October, training camps will start up and we'll be able to watch preseason hockey.
Fans will also be able to play NHL 19 as the newest game in the popular hockey video game franchise comes out on September 14th.
On Monday, EA Sports ended its countdown of the top-50 players in the game by revealing the ten highest-rated players in NHL 19 and unlike last year, there's one player alone at the top.
Connor McDavid, last year's cover athlete for the game, is the lone player with a 94 overall rating in NHL 19 while Sidney Crosby, the player McDavid was tied with last year with a 93 overall rating, is alone at that same number this year.
Speaking of last year's ratings, Alex Ovechkin and Carey Price are still at 92 along with Drew Doughty (who made the one point jump). Evgeni Malkin, on the other hand, moved down to a 91.
It's hard to argue with McDavid being the highest-rated player based on what he did last season and his NHL career as a whole thus far.
Carey Price being the highest-rated goaltender in the game, though, is something fans can definitely argue about and that's exactly what we want you to do in the comments below! Have at it!
