The hockey world is in mourning with the tragic Humboldt Broncos bus crash just over a week old. While the hockey community has shown a tremendous amount of support to the team and those close to it, support has also stretched beyond the sport as well.

On Saturday, the Toronto Raptors opened up their playoff series with the Washington Wizards. While the tragic accident has already created one of the largest GoFundMe campaigns of all-time, Raps’ brand ambassador Drake wanted to pay his respects to the fallen Broncos players and staff.

#Drake showed his support for the #HumboldtBroncos by rocking a #Broncos jersey to Game 1.

Nobody ever wants an event like this to occur, but if there is a silver lining it is the massive out pour of support from coast to coast. The GoFundMe campaign, as mentioned before as one of the biggest all time, has now surpassed $11 million – making it the second largest GoFundMe ever.

Drake’s tribute is the latest in a series of tributes from Canadian athletes, including Marcus Stroman, Joey Votto, DJ Kennington, and just about everyone that plays hockey.

While nothing can fully take the pain away, all we can continue to do is support in any way possible.
