Drake is essentially the Toronto Raptors’ biggest cheerleader. He can often be seen courtside at home games mixing it up with the team, or chirping the opposition in an attempt to get under their skin.
There was none of that when Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant hobbled off with a serious Achilles injury, however. Durant was returning to action, making his 2019 Finals debut, when he went down. While Toronto fans were criticized for cheering in the initial stages of the injury, Drake could certainly not be lumped into that group. The famous rapper looked extremely remorseful as he consoled Durant limping past him.
As is the nature of the internet, it is now a meme.
