Things haven’t exactly gone as planned as of late for the Toronto Raptors. They entered Tuesday night’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans with just one victory in their past seven games and it looked like they were set to drop their second straight game as they trailed 60-46 at halftime.
However, the Raptors put together a huge third quarter which all started when Norman Powell posterized Anthony Davis.
Toronto went on to outscore the Pelicans 31-15 in the third quarter and the two teams needed an extra frame to decide a winner. That’s when it became the Kyle Lowry show as he scored five of his team’s 12 overtime points, including the game-winner, to give the Raptors the 108-106 win.
Following the game, Lowry was greeted by teammate DeMar DeRozan, who was beyond excited to see his best friend step up and sink the big shot late in the game.
No wonder they’re everyone’s favourite duo in the league.
