It’s a tough job being a professional sports commentator. From when the broadcast begins, to the time that it ends, you have to be alert and ready the entire time. Sometimes when the mics are hot, it’s hard not to say something that will have casual listeners scoffing from their armchairs.

It’s a tough job, just ask Jason Witten. He decided playing football was easier than commentating it.

Booger McFarland is the latest commentator to cause some chuckles when his “bad math” moment graced the television sets of thousands. Two of those were star wide receivers in the league Davante Adams and Stefon Diggs.

It’s possible that Booger was using lose and win as an analogy, as though Philip Rivers lost the game for Los Angeles more than Patrick Mahomes won it. Either way, getting called out by two stars in the league? Oof, that’s gotta sting!
