Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been putting in work on his father’s vintage No. 8 Chevrolet Nova for the past couple of years and NASCAR fans are going to fall in love with the final product.

Dale Sr. drove this car in the Xfinity Series during the mid-1980s and this year his son is going to bring it onto the track for Darlington Raceway’s throwback weekend coming up in May to lead the pace laps for the Xfinity Series race.

Dale Jr. bought the car in an auction and put in $190,000 to restore it and authenticate it and he got some help from Hendrick Motorsports owner Rick Hendrick to get the job done.

They used old photos to make it look just like it used to and they did a phenomenal job because it looks awesome.
