The Chicago Cubs are loaded with plenty of big hitters who are capable of crushing baseballs and they might have another player joining that list in the near future.

Top-ranked Cubs prospect Eloy Jimenez is a 20-year-old outfielder with some serious power. On Monday night, the youngster took part in the Carolina League Home Run Derby at Salem Memorial Ballpark and he did something you’d only see in a movie.

During the Home Run Derby, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans outfielder crushed a ball way over the left field wall that completely shattered a bulb on the stadium’s light fixture.

Roy Hobbs did it in "The Natural." Cubs prospect Eloy Jimenez did it in real life.

"He hit one over the lights before that one," Carolina League South manager Buddy Bailey told Chris Tripodi of MiLB.com. "It looked like [Robert] Redford in The Natural. All the kids got against the wall as if they could catch it, then looked and ran like crazy to get away from the glass falling."

Jimenez failed to advance to the finals and did not win the Home Run Derby, but he should be proud knowing he has a bright future ahead of him.

Remember the name ‘Eloy Jimenez’ because he might be taking the field for the Chicago Cubs before you know it.
