The Chicago Bears brought in Chase Daniel to serve as a mentor and backup to second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, but he was playing a different role at the team’s training camp on Monday afternoon.
Instead of hitting the field in his new No. 4 jersey with the rest of his teammates, the 31-year-old put on a disguise that included a No. 10 Trubisky jersey and made his way into the crowd with the rest of the fans and tried his best to get autographs from the players.
A lot of the players were able to see right through Daniel’s disguise but he did manage to trick some of them, especially Trubisky who signed his jersey for him without thinking twice.
Daniel also happened to fool everyone else surrounding him in the crowd, including the parents of the kids waiting to get their own autographs.
