Carey Price is coming off a season he would definitely like to forget about.
In 49 games, the Canadiens netminder posted a 3.11 goals against average and a .900 save percentage, the worst totals of his 11-year NHL career and first time he finished with a goals against average higher than 2.83. Looking to rebound this upcoming season, the 31-year-old has been hitting the ice throughout the offseason and he recently joined the Tri-City Americans on the ice at their training camp.
It’s a win-win situation for both parties as Price gets in some work with a little competition ahead of his own training camp and the goalies around him get to learn first-hand from one of the best goalies in the NHL.
Price spent his junior career with the Tri-City Americans in the WHL where he appeared in 193 games from the 2002-03 season to the 2006-07 season. In that span, Price posted an 83-78-18 record and 15 shutouts.
