The Washington Capitals celebrated their first Stanley Cup in franchise history on Tuesday afternoon as the team paraded through the streets of D.C. with hockey’s most prized possession on hand.
Just about every Caps fan spent the day congratulating the team by celebrating with them at their official championship parade while the rest of the hockey world watched on, but the Capitals didn’t make the day all about them.
The Capitals ended taking out a full page ad in Tuesday’s edition of the Las Vegas Review Journal to congratulate the Vegas Golden Knights on their incredible run during their inaugural season.
Very classy move by the Capitals, who spent most of the day soaking in their first ever title.
