If you’re up to date with your NHL trivia, you may know Kenny Agostino, who has bounced around the league’s fringe since being drafted in the fifth round of the 2010 NHL Draft. With all of 22 games played across three teams, though, you’d be forgiven for not being familiar.
But you’re going to want to get familiar with his latest goal in the AHL. Playing for the Canadiens-affiliated Laval Rocket, Agostino showed off his goal-scoring prowess by going end-to-end on the power play and narrowly squeaking through a pair of defenders before finding twine.
Not bad! Only 26 years old, Agostino may be able to break in with the Habs yet — he’s on a two-way contract with the big club.
Also the AHL MVP in 2016-17, Agostino memorably scored this between-the-legs OT winner while playing for the Providence Bruins last season.
