Alexis Lafreniere gave all of Canada a scare early in the World Juniors tournament when he hurt his knee and then couldn’t skate off under his own power.
After scoring four points in his first game with the team, it seemed as if he was going to miss the rest of the tournament. Add in the fact that it happened in the middle of what could be considered Canada’s worst loss ever at the World Juniors and things were feeling pretty grim.
Now, Canada has won two straight convincing games and Lafreniere will return for Canada’s quarterfinal matchup against Slovakia.
Fans can’t believe their eyes.
Not only will he return, but it seems like he’s not feeling any lingering effects from the injury.
