The Miami Dolphins and New York Jets are going head-to-head in the rare Saturday Night Football game this weekend in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Just like every other football game, the starting lineups are introduced via the players’ heads popping up on the screen and is followed up by them saying their name and where they went to school. Well, Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake shook things up a little bit for Saturday’s game.
Wake attended Penn State and went undrafted in 2005. He joined the New York Giants, but was cut after a short period of time. Following his short stint with the Giantd, Wake found a home north of the border with the Canadian Football League’s BC Lions. In the two seasons he spent in the CFL, Wake won the CFL Most Outstanding Rookie award, earned the CFL Most Outstanding Defensive Player honours twice, and was selected to the CFL All-Star and CFL West Division All-Star teams both seasons.
Wake has been a member of the Dolphins since 2009 and has totaled 79.5 sacks in 113 games.
