Earlier this week, Edmonton Oilers defenceman Eric Gryba hit the ice in Watson Lake, Yukon, where he’s serving as a guest coach at the Watson Lake hockey camp.

Working alongside other NHLers such as Mike Smith, David Booth and Brent Gilchrist, Gryba is teaching about 100 kids aged 7 to 16 all the important fundamentals to becoming a good hockey player and even better person.

On Wednesday, the 29-year-old Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native sent a message to his goalie Cam Talbot with a special message from one of the young campers.

Cam Talbot got the message from his teammate and wasted no time sending the young goalie a shout-out.

Going to a hockey camp hosted by NHLers is cool enough, but to get a personal message from your favourite player is definitely a dream come true. Even Gryba was stoked about how quickly Talbot got back to him.

Hopefully this is just the beginning of something special for the youngster after that personal message from his favourite player.
