The Vegas Golden Knights have had a lot of local support since day one and their fan base has done nothing but grow on a daily basis over the course of their inaugural season. One person who has been all in since the original announcement was made is Washington Nationals right fielder and Las Vegas native Bryce Harper.

The 2015 NL MVP has done a lot to show support for the team from being the celebrity fan at home games to rocking the team’s merchandise and logo on his bat knobs, and he recently shared just how much he’s grown to love the game of hockey as a whole thanks to the Golden Knights.

In a recent interview with Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY Sports, the 25-year-old revealed that the Golden Knights are the first team he’s ever really had a passion cheering for and that he watches them religiously and they’ve turned him into a massive hockey fan.

“I get more nervous watching them than anything I’ve ever done in my life,” Harper told USA TODAY Sports, “even playing ball. I don’t get nervous watching my team or when I play at all. I really don’t.

“But when I’m watching them, I get so nervous. I’ll sit on the couch with my wife, going nuts.

“It’s unreal.”

The Vegas Golden Knights have already gained a lot of fans for life in their first NHL season and Bryce Harper is just one of those thousands of people.
