The secret is now out.
After Brad Marchand got a little too close to Leo Komarov in Game 1 of the first round series between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins, the hockey world couldn’t get over the latest installment of Marchand’s questionable antics. What exactly was he doing, and what was he trying to accomplish? Was he kissing Komarov, trying to give him a hickey, or just flat out make him feel uncomfortable?
Or maybe he just wanted Komarov to experience his bad breathe up close and personal.
Prior to puck drop on Saturday, reporters caught up with the talented agitator to get his thoughts on incident and how the intensity in the playoffs is starting to ramp up.
Knowing Marchand, he probably munched a bunch of garlic before the game.
With Nazem Kadri suspended for Games 2-4, Komarov was promoted to the top line with Auston Matthews and William Nylander, meaning we're going to see a lot more of the Marchand and Komarov rivarly. Let’s see what Marchand and Komarov have in store for each other come Game 2.
