There was a scary moment in the opening period between the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals as Bruins defencemen Brandon Carlo needed to be helped off the ice after receiving a hit from Tom Wilson.

Shortly after Carlo left the ice the team ruled him out for the remainder of the game with an upper body injury, so you can bet Brad Marchand did not hold back when he was asked about Wilson’s hit during the intermission interview.

There was no call on the play that forced Carlo out of the game, so you can bet that added into firing up the Bruins even more after it all occurred, and they came out of the gates flying in the second period.

The Bruins scored three in the second period to add to their lead, which included the second of the night from Marchand, showing us once again why it’s a bad idea to poke the bear.
