Trade deadline day in the NHL has come and gone, and out of all the transactions that occurred on March 1st, there was one that stuck out most to us. The re-acquisition of Jay Onrait and Dan O'Toole. Yes, in case you somehow missed the memo (which was retweeted of 11,000 times), Toolsie and Andre are back at TSN.
It hasn't just been sports fans north of the border that have rejoiced in the news that Jay & Dan are making a triumphant return to TSN. No, one NHLer in particular has noticed a positive upswing in his play since March 1st. A player who has not only managed to stay on the case, but also keep his badge and gun as well. That's right...Sergei Bobrovsky. Take a look at the case file.
Bobrovsky's stats in the three games before the re-acquisition of Jay & Dan? One win, two losses and seven goals allowed. Coincidence? We think not. Possible diehard Jets fan Phil Kessel has only seen a slight increase in his production, having scored netted three points in three games since the deadline.
Much like Jay & Dan...Bobrovsky is back on the case.
