The last time the Blues made it to the Stanley Cup Final was 1970. It's been a LONG time coming, but St. Louis will finally see their team compete in a Cup Final again after Tuesday night's win over the Sharks.
The Blues are a franchise rich with hockey history, but the one thing that has eluded them since they entered the league is a Stanley Cup and that's why the moment was so emotional not just for the current players, but players and people associated with the team, like longtime broadcaster and former Blue Kelly Chase.
Chase was one of the many former players that shed tears of joy watching the Blues advance to the Cup Final and as fans of the sport, it really tugged at our heartstrings seeing how much that moment meant to so many people. The current players may have held back tears this time around, but you can bet some will be shed if they can deliver on four more wins to give St. Louis its first Stanley Cup. (H/T: Jeremy Rutherford)
