Properly executed trick plays are easily one of the greatest things about sports. You never know when they’re going to come and every single one is different from the previous one, and they add a special element to attending and watching live games.

The BC Lions paid a visit to the Edmonton Eskimos on Friday night in the second game of a CFL doubleheader and the Lions scored the first touchdown of the night thanks to a whole lot of trickery.

@bclions_official broke out the "windshield wiper" formation to punch it into the end zone 😂

The Lions offence approached the line of scrimmage in a “windshield wiper” formation and it threw off the Eskimos’ defence almost immediately. BC quarterback Cody Fajardo helped sell the play by pacing back and forth behind the offensive line and they capped it off by snapping it directly to running back Jeremiah Johnson who made no mistake.

BC managed to jump out to an early lead on the road, but the hosts bounced back pretty quickly to take the lead.
