It’s always tough to be sick in hospital as a kid, but especially right now. Beyond the COVID concerns that are obviously hospital related, it’s tough because it affects loved ones ability to see you, along with whoever else you’d want to visit.

Fortunately, technology has helped the situation.

Toronto Maple Leafs centre Auston Matthews joined SickKids foundation by way of a video call, which was a nice surprise for kids in the hospital. Auston fielded some questions from the kids, and they came up with some adorable ones.

 

 

Physical distance doesn’t mean total distance, and Matthews took advantage of that loophole to being some smiles to young faces.

By the way, anyone else suddenly have a craving for some nachos?
