The Toronto Raptors have been NBA champions for just over a week now and Raptors fans everywhere are still celebrating the franchise’s first ever Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy.
This past weekend, Arkells played their annual Toronto summer show in front of a sold out crowd at Budweiser Stage and they brought out a special guest to join them on guitar.
That guest was Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse.
On Monday afternoon, Arkells lead singer Max Kerman joined the guys on OverDrive to share the story of how it all came to be starting with a random request for a piano for Nurse’s office a few months ago.
Nurse ended up joining Kerman and the rest of the band on stage near the end of the show for a cover of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours’, and got a massive ovation from the entire crowd from the moment he stepped out on stage to the moment he walked off.
