Kawhi Leonard's time in Toronto may be up when the Finals come to an end and regardless of whether the Raptors win their first championship in franchise history or not, Leonard will go down as arguably the greatest Raptor of all-time.
That's not hyperbole, that's just facts (contract max). Kawhi has galvanized the entire country of Canada on his run to the Finals with the Raptors and he's dominated in a way only the all-time greats have. He's the city of Toronto's favourite athlete and definitely the only one with multiple murals, the newest of which emerged in "The 6ix" after Toronto's Finals berth.
The title of 'King of the North' is more than appropriate. Kawhi has an entire country behind him and one that is clearly willing to do anything to show they appreciate all that he's doing for them on and off the court.
We're not sure what Kawhi is going to do in the summer, but it's not going to be easy to leave such a passionate fanbase and country after the most historic season in franchise history.
