The Calgary Flames are not where they want to be as a hockey team. They currently sit at a 20-16-4 record, which isn’t horrible, but it also isn’t going to get it done in a very competitive Western Conference. Despite a ton of young talent, the Flames are having troubles scoring. They currently sit 22nd with just 112 goals on the season, just under three goals per game.
On Friday, Flames head coach Glen Gulutzan let the entire team know that he wasn’t having it anymore. A profanity-ridden rant turned into a full on temper tantrum when he whipped his bat with as much zip as Edwin Encarnacion used to throw his bat into the stands (except Edwin’s was by accident).
On Saturday, a Ducks’ Twitter team that is no stranger to taking shots at other teams once again took to the web to throw a little playful shade in the direction of Cowtown. With their morning skate in the books, they wanted everyone to know that no sticks had been wronged during the practice.
With their west coast neighbour Vegas Golden Knights running away with the league Twitter game, the Ducks are making sure they stay relevant.
