Adam Jones was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 2003 and developed in their farm system, but he didn’t start making a name for himself at the Major League level until he was dealt to the Baltimore Orioles in 2008. Since joining the Orioles, Jones has been selected to five All-Star games, has won four Gold Glove Awards and one 2013 Silver Slugger Award, and now he has a new place to store all his hardware and call home.

Last weekend, the 32-year-old picked up a big win as he ended up placing the highest bid in an auction involving Baltimore Orioles legend Cal Ripken Jr.’s incredible mansion. Eight registered bidders placed a bid on the home, but it took a mere 17 minutes for Jones to come out on top.

The 25-acre estate is located in Reisterstown, Maryland, and it’s reported that Jones scooped it off the market for $9.75 million, nearly $3 million less than the original asking price.

The home features six massive bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and five half baths, a home theatre with a box office, stage, candy counter and seating for 11, an expansive kitchen that fits up to 100 guests, a four-car garage, an outdoor entertaining area that includes a heated pool, 10-person spa, kitchen and picnic area.

The incredible mansion also includes a full-size baseball field, a 1-acre pond with a fishing pier and a biking and running trail.

Although Jones ended up getting a pretty good deal on the place, Ripken still walked away making a hefty profit as he originally purchased the property for $215,000 back in 1984.
