It doesn’t matter if you’re a fan, a former player, or a reporter, it’s easy to jump to conclusions in a playoff series after witnessing one dominant performance from one of the teams in the matchup. However, you always need to remind yourself that a series never ended in one game and it doesn’t end until one team picks up four wins.

Following the Boston Celtics’ 112-90 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks in the first game of the series, former NBA player Paul Pierce came out and said that he believes the series is already over and it’s the Celtics’ to lose.

Well, since Pierce made that comment the Celtics have not only lost three straight games, but they find themselves one loss away from calling it a season. Following the Bucks’ 12-point win over the Celtics in Boston on Monday night, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers took a jab at Pierce on Twitter.

Hopefully Rodgers didn’t just make the same mistake that Pierce made last week, but he’s in a much better position than Pierce was when he made those comments.
