Hockey traditions, you’ve got to love them.
And with the 2021 season underway, we are so happy to see traditions continue to roll out.
So thank goodness for the fans attending the Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Nashville Predators home opener because they absolutely tackled a classic Predators tradition.
BRING ON THE CATFISH.
Wait scratch that.
BRING ON THE MASKED CATFISH.
As the Predators allowed a select number of fans to return to Bridgetown Arena, two catfish were thrown on the ice before puck drop in good ol’ Smashville but one gave us the kind of content we wouldn’t have been able to explain if it weren’t for COVID.
A catfish following health and safety protocols is not something we ever thought would cross our minds.
It’s stuff like this that makes us miss sports the most, those fun fan moments and traditions.
Give us more masked catfish!
