Over the past few years we’ve seen fans approach professional athletes with completely random items whether it be at a meet and greet or during the pre-game warm-ups.
Ahead of the finale of the three-game series between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the New York Mets at Citi Field on Wednesday evening, Mets left fielder Michael Conforto was approached by a fan with a very unusual item for an autograph request.
Out of all the possible items to get signed this fan decided to roll with a pack of Pop-Tarts, which the Mets slugger gladly signed. It turns out he isn’t the first professional baseball player to get approached with Pop-Tarts as Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner signed an entire box for a fan in Houston a few years back.
We can’t wait to see what the next random item will be that shows up during an autograph signing session.
