A Canadian music legend will be hitting the court to sing O’Canada ahead of Game 6.

On Wednesday, singer and songwriter Sarah McLalachlan took to Twitter to announce she’ll be doing the honour at what will be the final game at Oracle Arena. You can say that she had a bit of a tough time containing her excitement on Twitter…

A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, McLachlan has been nominated for a remarkable 26 Juno awards; nine of which she won. She’s also captured three Grammy Awards and her song “Building a Mystery” ranked #91 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Songs of the 90s. She owns a BC Hall of Fame sidewalk star in downtown Vancouver.

We’re ecstatic to see a Canadian take care of our anthem down south, but some of the most memorable anthems we’ve witnessed so far have come from fans. 20,000 strong were belting it together ahead of Game 5!
