Seven-year-old Hailey Dawson was born with Poland syndrome, a disorder that limits the development of the pectoral muscle and other muscles on one side of the body. As a result, Dawson was born with only three fingers.
Dawson plays baseball and is a massive fan of the sport, but was limited in her movements until a 3D printed prosthetic hand was developed by the engineering department at the University of Las Vegas in 2014.The hand was attached to her arm, and Dawson was able to fully grip a baseball.
In August 2015, she threw out the first pitch at Camden Yards.
A few years later, Dawson -- a Nevada native -- met up with fellow Nevada product Bryce Harper, and went on to throw out the first pitch at a Washington Nationals game back in June.
Thanks to Bleacher Report, the company put together a short video about Hailey and her story. Her goal in so throw out the first pitch at every single stadium in the MLB. Since the video was published, 24 out of the 28 teams have responded.

Dawson has 7 arms in total, as she needs a new one every year she ages. The robotic arm is pieced together by a fishing line, and she's able to control the fingers from the muscles in her wrist.
Now that school is back in session, Hailey's goal will likely be put on hold until next summer. If you want to follow her story, you can find her Twitter account here. Good on the MLB for making the seven-year-old's dream turn into a reality, and good on Hailey for being such a postive role model as she continutes to raise awareness for the syndrome.
