Derrick Rose's NBA career has been a roller coaster ride, but until he dropped 50 on the Jazz, there wasn't really a second climb.
Since winning MVP in 2011, it's all pretty much been one big drop for D-Rose which is why his performance has impressed so many people in the sports world. Rose seemingly hit the lowest point in his NBA career last season when he was released by the Utah Jazz and struggled finding a team before signing with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Injuries have derailed what at one time seemed like a hall of fame career and most people had assumed the Derrick Rose that won MVP was never coming back.
That was until seeing him play last night. Rose had an extremely emotional reaction to putting up 50 points in against the Jazz (The team that cut him), but it was just him who had an emotional reaction. His peers, the people who really know how much work he has put in to get his game back, were all over the internet sharing their praise.
Here are seven tweets (Or Instagrams) that really put D-Rose's performance into perspective:
It wasn't just a volume 50 points either. Rose had an all-around great game, going 19/31 from the field 4/7 from beyond the arc and adding four rebounds, six assists and two steals. He really did look like the player who at one point challenged LeBron James for the best player in the game.
